Atlantic City has rent control. Does that change how my building is insured?
It changes the number, not the form. Under § 41-12A of Chapter 41, when a unit is voluntarily vacated the new rent is set by the landlord, who then notifies the Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs and registers it; increases follow the ordinance from there. Loss of rents replaces the rent on that register, so that is the schedule we insure.
